Park Shore's holiday season starts on Saturday, November 21, and ends on Saturday, December 12. Five events fill the 22 days between, all at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay, 4200 Gulf Shore Blvd. North. Each of those two Saturdays ends with the same scene: a crowd at the tree at 6 p.m., waiting for the snow. Thanksgiving week is the busiest part of the calendar. A footrace, three holiday menus and a three-day shopping weekend all land within four days. The season's one big event on the water comes a week after the Village goes quiet, and it happens across town on Naples Bay.
That makes the calendar short and easy to reach on foot or by a short drive. It's also easy to underestimate. Here it is in order.
Two Snow Shows, Three Weeks Apart
Grand Illuminations, Saturday, November 21, 3 to 7 p.m. The Village's Grand Illuminations page calls this the start of the season. The evening includes free photos with Santa, Dickens carolers, more than 100,000 lights along the bay and a snow show at 6 p.m.
Holiday on the Bay, Saturday, December 12, 3 to 7 p.m. The Holiday on the Bay listing repeats much of that program: carolers, Santa, holiday characters, the same 100,000-plus lights and another 6 p.m. gathering at the tree with simulated snow.
Because the two programs are so alike, you can pick the date that suits your family. If visiting family arrives the week before Thanksgiving, the first show is your chance. If guests come in mid-December, the second one is. Both run four hours, so 3 p.m. means daylight on the water and 6 p.m. means the lights are on and the tree is the main event. Both shows fall on Saturdays, and a snow show draws a crowd. If you live within walking distance along Gulf Shore Boulevard North, walking over will likely be easier than finding parking at 5:45.
Between the two Saturdays come Thanksgiving and a weeknight event for pets.
Thanksgiving Week Holds Most of the Calendar
Three of the Village's five dated events fall between Thanksgiving morning and the Sunday after. Add the restaurant menus, and that one week accounts for most of what's happening on Venetian Bay this season.
Thursday morning: the Gobble Gobble 5K
The Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving Day 5K runs from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 26, and race announcements begin at 7:20. Proceeds support St. Matthew's House. Since it starts early and finishes before lunch, you can run or cheer on Thanksgiving morning and still have the whole afternoon for the meal.
Thursday afternoon: dinner on the bay
The Village's own waterfront dining roundup, published October 14, lists six restaurants on the bay: Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar, Fish Restaurant, M Waterfront Grille, MiraMare Ristorante, T-Michaels Steak & Lobster House and The Village Pub. Three have posted their Thanksgiving plans so far, and their prices for the traditional turkey plate cover a wider range than you might expect from three dining rooms on the same stretch of water.
| Restaurant | Thanksgiving offering | Traditional dinner price | Other details |
|---|---|---|---|
| M Waterfront Grille | Regular dinner menu plus a traditional turkey dinner | $45 per adult, $20 per child | The menu page doesn't list a year, so confirm when you book |
| Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar | Thanksgiving menu posted in October | $48 turkey dinner | Roasted half duck $47, Atlantic salmon $41, halibut $51, miso-glazed sea bass $61, rack of lamb $62 |
| T-Michaels Steak & Lobster House | "Thanksgiving Day Menu 2026" | $62 turkey or ham dinner | Served noon to 9 p.m.; reservations highly recommended |
The turkey dinners differ by $17 from one end of the bay to the other. Where to book depends partly on who's coming. M Waterfront Grille lists a $20 children's price. Bayside's menu gives a large group plenty of options, since the half duck costs a dollar less than the turkey and the sea bass comes with lobster mashed potatoes. T-Michaels serves from noon to 9 p.m., so you can book a late lunch or an evening table. Dessert at Bayside includes a pumpkin tart for $14 and a key lime tart for $15.
Fish Restaurant, MiraMare Ristorante and The Village Pub had not posted 2026 Thanksgiving menus. If you're set on one of them, call before you assume they'll be open on the holiday or plan the day around them.
Friday through Sunday: Black Friday Stroll & Shop
The weekend after Thanksgiving is Black Friday Stroll & Shop, November 27 through 29. Shops are open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Some boutiques are already promoting the season. The Village's news feed from mid-October included a holiday party at Lux Boutique and a promotion at Chico's.
So in four days, Park Shore gets a charity race, a holiday dinner on the water and a full weekend of extended shopping hours, all at one address.
A Thursday Evening for the Dog
After Thanksgiving weekend the calendar goes quiet for nearly two weeks. The next event is Santa Paws on Thursday, December 10, from 4 to 7 p.m., with free photos of pets with Santa.
It's the only weeknight event of the season, and it sits two days before Holiday on the Bay. If you'd like a holiday card photo with the dog but not the Saturday snow-show crowd, this Thursday evening is the date.
The Members' Lawn on the Gulf
The Village is open to everyone. Park Shore's other holiday event is for members only. On September 10, the Park Shore Association announced "ELF Under the Stars," an outdoor screening of the holiday movie at its Beach Park. Members are invited to bring beach chairs and watch from the lawn. The date and start time are printed on the association's flyer. Check the flyer or ask the association directly before you plan an evening around it.
The Beach Park is limited to members and their guests. In its May 2026 member update, the association kept annual dues at $300 and the initiation fee at $1,000, with the full initiation fee going to reserves. It also approved funding for a security guard through the end of this year to keep unauthorized vehicles out of the parking lot. The update reminds members to bring their membership cards. If you're bringing guests to the movie, remember your card.
The Boat Parade Happens a Week Later, on Naples Bay
Venetian Bay's holiday events take place on land. The lights line the water, but the Village calendar includes no boats. The best-known waterborne holiday event in the area is the Christmas Boat Parade on Naples Bay, organized by MIACC. It runs Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m.
It comes exactly one week after Holiday on the Bay. From Park Shore it's a drive south, and MIACC lists these viewing spots:
- Naples City Dock, which is ticketed and hosts the parade judges and VIP guests
- Pinchers Tin City
- Riverwalk Restaurant
- Naples Landing
- Kelly's Fish House
- The Boat House on Naples Bay
- Bayview Park
Three of those are restaurants, so you can watch the parade over dinner if you reserve a table. Bayview Park and Naples Landing are open public spots on the water. If you'd like to enter a boat, the MIACC page has the 2026 entry form.
That gives Park Shore four Saturdays worth planning around: November 21 and December 12 on Venetian Bay, December 19 on Naples Bay, and Thanksgiving weekend in the middle.
If visiting family spends these weeks asking what Park Shore is like the rest of the year, Shannon Spalding is happy to talk through the neighborhood and its waterfront with the same care you'd put into planning a holiday visit. Schedule a free consultation whenever the calendar allows.
